Our Suggestion

Although this is a basic card, the rewards it offers are much better. It has an offering somewhere near-premium card.

The issue with this card lies in its fees, it has a low joining fee for the first year, but you have to pay high from the second year onwards. Also, it does not offer you any lounge access.

Strength Weakness
Decent reward rate No lounge access
Low joining fee

  • Fuel waiver: No waiver allowed
  • Lounge access: Nil
  • Welcome bonus: 4000 Reward points
  • Joining Fee: Rs.1000+tax

Bottom Line

If you are new to Amex, MRCC is the best card for you to start a relationship with Amex. Also, the rewards provided are decent and can give you a good return on all your spending.

The return earned can be maximized by applying some strategy.
